In New The Secret Life Of Pets 2 Gidget Wants To Be A Cat…Meow

The character driven marketing continues for Illumination Animation The Secret Life Of Pets 2 with a new Trailer. We’ve had the traditional Trailer, alongside Trailers for Kevin Hart‘s Snowball the Super Bunny and Lake Bell‘s Chloe The Cat. Today is another one of the pets, Jenny Slate’s fluffy dog Gidget, from Chloe!

Our poodle dog seems to be getting lessons from Chloe on how to act like a cat, but why? I have to admit, I was n’t the biggest fan of the first film, but we’re really enjoying the marketing for the sequel. The focus on the characters rather on the film in general makes you feel you want to engage with them…

The Secret Life of Pets 2 will follow summer 2016’s blockbuster about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy will produce the sequel to the comedy that had the best opening ever for an original film, animated or otherwise.

The Secret Life of Pets 2 will see the return of writer Brian Lynch (Minions) and once again be directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me series, Dr Seuss’ The Lorax).

There’s a cast of many lending their talents to bring the cast to life: Patton Oswalt replaces Louis C.K As Max with Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Eric Stonestreet, Ellie Kemper, Dana Carvey, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress, and Garth Jennings (director of Sing) returning. They will be joined by Harrison Ford (in his first voice-only role), Nick Kroll, Tiffany Haddish, Pete Holmes.

The Secret Life Of Pets 2 will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas from new date of  24th May 2019 (7th June 2019 for the USA).
