Margot Robbie might be riding high in Mary Queen Of Scots, next year she will return as Harley Quinn in The Birds Of Prey Movie.
Lets be honest Suicide Squad was ambitious but flawed in endless was. The one shining light was Robbie’s Harley Quinn. Whilst the film was a disaster critically for DC Entertainment, many called for Harley to get her own film. Things went quite for a while and then Gotham City Belles reared its head only to disappear again. Now Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) has taken a step closer to reality.
Through the night a shot but sweet teaser arrived online. The 20 second Promo called ‘See You Soon’, check it out…
The promo shows off the main characters for the upcoming film. Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary; Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress; Rosie Perez as Detective Renee Montoya; Ella Jay Basco as Batgirl Cassandra Cain; Ewan McGregor as the villainous Black Mask; and Chris Messina the serial killer Victor Zsasz.
If you watched the recent Golden Globes Awards you have wondered why Chris Messina was a bleached blonde haircut. Now you know!
Via her Instagram account Margot Robbie also revealed Harley Quinn‘s new look. It’s a look that’s more home with the 1980s retro look rather than her Tomboy look in Suicide. Still very much in Quinn’s vein with her white powdered face and red lips and that heart shape tattoo on her cheek. She does look happier, more liberated, has she got rid of the toxic Joke?
Dead Pigs director Cathy Yan will be directing and she has promised a ‘R-Rated’ film which should suit Harley Quinn. As for when Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will be out, we’re expecting 2020, possibly February 2020.
