New Extended Aquaman Trailer Gives Better Look At Our Hero

This coming December we will take the plunge back into the DC Universe when Aquaman arrives in our cinemas. Over in New York, the City’s ComicCon is taking place and Warner Bros Pictures has released a new Trailer. This is no standard Two minute Trailer this is a proper Five-minute teaser!

A Tide Is Coming and Jason Momoa is our half-Atlantean Arthur Curry. This trailer dives deep into the deep end from his birth to becoming a fearless warrior who also is a meek lighthouse keeper. He does also have a similar problem to Thor has with his half-brother with Orm (Patrick Wilson). Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) might just give Harry more problems, with the film’s villain getting more screentime. Amber Head‘s Mera finally also gets more time too as Harry’s love interest, not forgetting a taste of Harry’s parents love story.

We’re fans of James Wan‘s filmography (especially Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring) and we really want this one to succeed. There is a fun element here, things do feel a tad underwhelming too. Maybe we have high expectations, Momoa is doing well here selling this keeping us interested and hopeful this will join Wonder Woman as a good DC film!

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director, James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.

The cast includes Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna (Harry’s mother).

Aquaman will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas on 12th December (21st December in the USA).
