Hugh Jackman For President In The Front Runner UK Trailer

After years of clawing your way out of trouble superhero Logan aka Wolverine, what next for Hugh Jackman? Another musical? No! he goes into politics and aims to be the president of the United States Of America in The Front Runner.

In 1988, Gary Hart was going to be the next U.S. President. This is the story of what happened next. Based on a true story, Jackman plays Senator Hart as the film follows the rise and fall of the charismatic politician.

The film made its world premiere at Toronto Film Festival and for many outsides of the States, its a story little is known about. Jackman has made some ambitious moves in his career thankfully majority he’s pulled off. The Front Runner looks to be another success, very engaging and he makes it worthwhile to check this film out.

Oscar® nominee Hugh Jackman stars as the charismatic politician Gary Hart for Academy Award®-nominated director Jason Reitman in the new thrilling drama The Front Runner. The film follows the rise and fall of Senator Hart, who captured the imagination of young voters and was considered the overwhelming front runner for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination when his campaign was sidelined by the story of an extramarital relationship with Donna Rice. As tabloid journalism and political journalism merged for the first time, Senator Hart was forced to drop out of the race – events that left a profound and lasting impact on American politics and the world stag.

The list of co-candidates includes Vera Farmiga, J.K. Simmons, Mamoudou Athie, Alfred Molina, Molly Ephraim, Steve Zissis,Kaitlyn Dever, Courtney Ford and Sara Paxton.

The Front Runner ‘Ballot Day’ in the UK and Ireland will be from 11th January 2019.
