Watch Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina Trailer…Happy Birthday, Make A ‘Witch’

Blow Out the candles and make a witch! Next month Sabrina Spellman is finally returning but don’t The Teenage Witch is returning but don’t expect Melissa Joan Hart. In a few weeks, Netflix will be releasing Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina the half witch, half mortal. The only way to describe this is a ‘darker’ update of the popular Archie Comics character.

A young woman about to turn 16 who has a very important decision to make, her witch world of her family or her human world of friends? Easily tapping into classic horrors, like The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby, but think this will be more Buffy The Vampire Slayer tone to keep with the targeted audience.

Fans of Riverdale will adore this especially as they share showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also is the scripter for the comic book too. Check out the ‘Birthday’ Trailer that plays on that important decision reminding us, like Riverdale, this is far from its original comic book version. Check out the trailer, just don’t expect a crossover!

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.

Remember to Check out Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina on Netflix!

The cast includes Kiernan Shipka (as Sabrina), Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, Bronson Pinchot, and Gavin Leatherwood.
