Steve McQueen’s WIDOWS New Clips Try To ‘Pull It Off’

A lot of buzz coming from the Toronto Film Festival and one of those films making a lot of noise is Widows. The early reviews are very good with many calling it Poignant, masterful, riveting. This news will intrigue most of all excite those looking to forward to next month’s UK Premiere at BFI London Film Festival.

To build add a slice of curiousity to the films upcoming release, 20th Century Fox Pictures has released new  2 clips. The first clip we see the ladies in question Viola Davis reminding the ladies about their heist…“No one thinks we have the balls to pull this off!”

In the second clip ‘I Know Why‘ Viola Davis is at her husbands funeral, As two strangers chat and look on, who are they?

From Academy Award®-winning director Steve McQueen (“12 Years a Slave”) and co-writer and bestselling author Gillian Flynn (“Gone Girl”) comes a blistering, modern-day thriller set against the backdrop of crime, passion, and corruption. “Widows” is the story of four women with nothing in common except a debt left behind by their dead husbands’ criminal activities. Set in contemporary Chicago, amid a time of turmoil, tensions build when Veronica (Oscar® winner Viola Davis), Alice (Elizabeth Debicki), Linda (Michelle Rodriguez) and Belle (Cynthia Erivo) take their fate into their own hands and conspire to forge a future on their own terms. “Widows” also stars Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Robert Duvall, Daniel Kaluuya, Lukas Haas and Brian Tyree Henry.

Widows will make its world premiere at BFI London Film Festival on 10th October. The film will make its UK and Irish cinematic release on 6th November.
