Gareth Evans Netflix Bound Apostle Trailer Will Mess You Up!

“God is pain, God is suffering…Beware of false prophets”, blasphemers behold Gareth Evans Apostle first Trailer has arrived online!

The Welsh filmmaker made for himself for the Indonesian based cult action thrillers The Raid and The Raid 2. This new film is certainly a change of direction for him. However looking for something truly visceral, bloody and truly disturbing you’ll be looking in the right place.

After his underrated The Guest, Dan Stevens steps up to take on an evil religious cult. A cult who live on a remote island, one who has kidnapped his sister for a ransom. His character name is Thomas Richardson, the year is 1905 and Thomas must embark on the perilous journey to rescue her. Thomas must become one of those cult members (led by Michael Sheen), nothing goes to plan.

Some folks might say they have seen this type of film before and they would be right. If Evans delivers that element of surprise he delivered in The Raid films, we have an intriguing film on our hands.

The year is 1905. Thomas Richardson travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return. It soon becomes clear that the cult will regret the day it baited this man, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.

Apostle will arrive on Netflix globally from 12th October. Co-starring Lucy Boynton, Mark Lewis Jones, Bill Milner, Kristine Froseth, Paul Higgins, and Michael Sheen
