Robin Hood New Trailer Promises A Story You Don’t For Legend You Do Know

He’s no stranger to adaptation to the big (and small) screen, this Autumn Lionsgate promise Robin Hood will deliver a story you don’t know for a legend you do know. Today they tease us more with the new UK Trailer, plenty of archery and swordplay!

After taking over The Kingsman, Taron Egerton puts down his dapper suits, sophisticated gadgets for bows and swords. It’s big shoes the young actor has fill, one of major English folklore. He also will be following big footsteps of actors who have already played the role: Erol Flynn (1938), Kevin Costner (1991) and Russell Crowe (2010).

It seems the story itself won’t be changed as much, Robin Hood looks to be still a hero of the poor. Returning from battlefields to lead a revolt against the corruption that he finds at home, with his mentor Little John (Jamie Foxx).

The big notable difference will be in the fight scenes which look choreographed like Superhero films. That notion is reflected in the new poster that comes with the trailer. The poster shows off the letter ‘R’ encased in arrows like a superhero character logo. This looks fun film, here’s hoping they keep their promise to deliver a different story for an iconic character.

Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) a war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.

The merry band of men and women include Jamie Foxx, Ben Mendelsohn, Eve Hewson, Tim Minchin and Jamie Dornan. Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders) will be directing, with Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way producing.

Robin Hood will save you from the tyrannical sheriff’s when he arrives in UK and Irish cinemas from 21st November.
