“Is This The Real Life or Is this just fantasy?” This Autumn 20th Century Fox Pictures will be hoping you won’t be ‘caught in a landslide’ when Bohemian Rhapsody is released.
Today Fox Pictures has unveiled another UK Trailer for the upcoming story of the rise of one of Rock’s leading groups Queen and their charismatic frontman Freddie Mercury.
The first trailer was greeted with mixed reactions, surrounded with the cliched tropes of biopics. The new trailer fares a lot better, this time giving us a better idea of the narrative. We see more of Freddie and his private life, these many fans do want to see more off. It’s no secret his personal life was extravagant and Rami Malek is going full out to deliver the emotions, tensions. As the surviving band members are involved, it’s hard to say if they will ‘tone down’ or ignore Freddie’s battle with AIDS.
We do get a slice of the humour, a good feeling, great songs that Fox will hope will get Queen fans ‘rocking’ in their local cinemas…
The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.
Bohemian Rhapsody will rock you when it’s released in UK and Irish cinemas from 24th October. Co-starring Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Allen Leach, Tom Hollander and Mike Myers.
