First Aquaman Trailer Arrives, Can It Restore Faith In DCEU?

There are very few films these days from DC that get anyone excited. It’s a sad thing to say after the recent disasters but can Aquaman restore faith in DCEU? Direct from Warner Bros Pictures Hall at San Diego from the watery depths of Atlantis comes the first Trailer.

With rivals Marvel so ahead of the game, DC Entertainment had to head back to the drawing board to mount a challenge. With only Wonder Woman so far delivered the goods, the pressure will be on James Wan to deliver. Jason Momoa looked the part in Justice League but he seemed to be the butt of the jokes.

Now The Conjuring director has taken onboard what he should do to make Aquaman distinctive. On the evidence of this Trailer, he looks like he’s done that. This feels nothing like Justice League and here’s hoping DCEU can finally properly start its universe!

Take a deep breath and watch the First UK Trailer. Home is calling…

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director, James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.

The cast includes Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna (Harry’s mother).

Aquaman will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas from 14th December (21st December in the USA).
