The LEGO® Movie 2 First Trailer Is Everything Still Awesome?

In 2014 when Warner Bros. released The Lego Movie no one was expecting that ‘Everything Is Awesome’. 5 years on the long-anticipated sequel The LEGO® Movie 2 will be released, but will everything still be awesome? Yes!

Warner Bros. has released the first (UK) Teaser Trailer and they promise ‘It’s time to go where no brick has gone before’. After the chaos of ‘Taco Tuesday’ of the first film our heroes reunite in a post apocalyptic world. Their world is like a Mad Max Style world as they Emmet (Chris Pratt) and co attempt to save their home from Lego Duplo Invaders.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller are once again onboard but this time only as producers with Mike Mitchell (Trolls) directing. Things may not great for Brickburg finest, the trailer promises we’ll get another funny film on the cards. Solid jokes, visually appealing…

“The LEGO® Movie 2” reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to far away, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.

Reprising their fan-favorite characters from “The LEGO Movie” are Chris Pratt as Emmet, Elizabeth Banks as Lucy (aka Wyldstyle), Will Arnett as LEGO BatmanTM, Nick Offerman as Metal Beard, and Alison Brie as Unikitty. They are joined by Tiffany Haddish, Stephanie Beatriz, and Arturo Castro as, respectively, new characters Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi, Sweet Mayhem and Ice Cream Cone.

The LEGO® Movie 2 will be released in the UK, Irish and U.S Cinemas from February 8th, 2019.
