In Upgrade UK Trailer Logan Marshal-Green’s ‘Revenge’ Will Be Bloody

Not Man. Not Machine. More.

We’ve been raving about it since it’s American Trailer (see link below) back in April and since then Leigh Whannel‘s Upgrade has went strength to strength. Last month it won Midnighter Audience Award at SXSW Festival, received some solid critical appraise, now it’s the UK’s turn.

Whannell will always be remembered for his work on Saw and Insidious franchise, now behind the camera again this time in the sci-fi genre. Starring Logan Marshall-Green as Grey a man whose life was turned upside down when his wife was killed in a brutal mugging. This also left him paralyzed but thanks to an experimental cure he now has the ability to seek his vengeance.

This won’t win big awards, but will win you over especially if you are looking for that ‘bloody escapism’. Expect violence galore, bones will be broken, guns fired revenge will be bloody. Check out the UK Trailer courtesy of Universal Pictures, pick your favourite cinema snack, and let your brain recharge and ‘upgrade’…

UPGRADE is a thrilling and hyper-violent vision of the future from the producers of GET OUT and THE PURGE, and the creator of SAW and INSIDIOUS.

After his wife is killed during a brutal mugging that also leaves him paralyzed, Grey Trace (Logan Marshall-Green, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, PROMETHEUS) is approached by a billionaire inventor with an experimental cure that will “upgrade” his body. The cure – an Artificial Intelligence implant called STEM – gives Grey physical abilities beyond anything experienced and the ability to relentlessly claim vengeance against those who murdered his wife and left him for dead.
