The Happytime Murders First Trailer Is Puppet Sex And Ecstasy For Melissa McCarthy

Ever wondered what The Muppets would be like if they got dark, funny all-out adult? Check out the First (Red Band) Trailer for The Happytime Murders. Boy, it’s damn dirty. If this was one of Henson’s other creations, Sesame Street, it wouldn’t be one letter, it would be four!…NSFW!!!

It’s no Sesame. All Street, the part of the street you’ll never see on the iconic kids show!

Created by Brian Henson the son of the legendary Jim Henson, we find ourselves in a world where humans and puppets co-exist. Melissa McCarthy must work with a puppet cop to solve the murder of a cast member of a popular puppet show.

When it comes to McCarthy comedies, expect outrageously dumb things to happen. When it comes to this do you expect her to be snorting Ecstasy? Maybe, what about been propositioned for sex by a puppet? No! The Muppets originally were on TV in the 1970’s into the 1990s so the audience has become adults! Can you say Henson for this one has grown with them?

This shares a similar tone to Team America World Police, but also reminds us a little like Rainbow ‘dirty’ episode. The one we play with our twangers and bounce our balls hard (watch it here).

THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS is set in the underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives, one human and one puppet, are forced to work together to try and solve who is brutally murdering the former cast of “The Happytime Gang,” a beloved classic puppet show.

The Happytime Murders will be released in the UK and Ireland this ‘Summer’, potentially 24th August (The USA, 17th August).

The film stars Maya Rudolph, Joel McHale, Leslie David Baker, and Elizabeth Banks. This is a Henson show and if we go by The Muppets, there will be even more cameos.
