The Equalizer 2 Delivers A New Poster

3 Months to Go states the new international Poster for Robert McCall’s return to the big screen. That’s 3 months until The Equalizer 2 lands in a cinema near you and above are the latest promo.

Last month we brought you the action-packed (slightly spoilerish) first Trailer. It might not mean much to many cinephiles but this Trailer also announced, Denzil Washington was breaking new grounds. He’s making his first ever sequel in his career.

Many cinephiles have embraced Washington’s version of the character that British actor Rober McCall played during the 1980s. Maybe he’s too OCD for me or simply The Equalizer was a big part of my childhood (Sunday nights on ITV/STV). Whatever you think Robert McCall in the 21st Century is hard-hitting, gritty and not scared to use his ‘equalizers’ to full effect, his hands!

The Poster itself is nothing spectacular. The design very basic, generic, no need for as Denzil Washington and his character will sell this. The slogans, however, do the talking as he’s someone who takes no prisoners and gets the job done!

Denzel Washington returns to one of his signature roles in the first sequel of his career. Robert McCall serves an unflinching justice for the exploited and oppressed – but how far will he go when that is someone he loves?

The Equalizer 2 will be released in the UK and Ireland on 17th August (USA 20th July). The film stars Melissa Leo, Bill Pullman, Pedro Pascal and Jonathan Scarfe with Antoine Fuqua directing.
