The Bullets Fly And So Does Mark Wahlberg In Mile 22 Trailer

The Bullets Fly And So Does Mark Wahlberg In Mile 22 Trailer

After true story films of Deepwater Horizon and Patriot’s Day, Peter Berg returns to action thriller genre with Mile 22. Once again Berg teams up with Mark Wahlberg as a ‘Special Ops’ unit is assigned to ‘escort’ a police man with sensitive information.

That cop looks to be The Raid franchise’s hero Uko Uwais. Today STX Films has unveiled the UK’s red band Trailer, the bullets are flying. With Uwais and MMA/WWE star Ronda Rousey also onboard, expect the bodies to go flying too!

One big thing about watching this trailer is the film doesn’t pretend, anything else apart from what it says on the label…an action thriller. The action looks intense, exciting, gritty some calling this a ‘modern thriller’. In the words of good old JR from WWE fame, its ‘good old slobbernocker’ with high tech technology. The trailer does focus purely on the action, rather than the actual plot and even a slice if Uwais ass kicking.

It seems Berg and Wahlberg have big plans by making this into a Trilogy of films and even a tv show. They have big faith this film will deliver and STX Films support that idea too. If those ideas come to fruition will all be down to how well the film does at the box office. Could they have a sleeper hit on the cards?

An elite American intelligence officer, aided by a top-secret tactical command unit, tries to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information out of the country.

Check out the new Poster released to accompany the above Trailer. The Design is basic, pixelated, a little like a surveillance camera, check it out…

Mile 22 will be released in the UK and Ireland on 10th August (3rd August in theĀ USA). The film also stars The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohen (aka Maggie), John Malkovich.
