In New Book Club Clips Fifty Shades Drive Older Generation Crazy

When Fifty Shades Of Grey Trilogy of books were released, they were a phenomenon driving the female population crazy. The films that’s a story for another day, early next month Book Club explores four lifelong friends, whose life is turned upside down thanks to the books.

Starring Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen are those lifelong friends whose lives take a funny turn after reading the pages. Paramount Pictures has sent us a couple of clips which give us a nice taste of the upcoming film.

Four lifelong friends have their lives turned upside down to hilarious ends when their book club tackles the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey.

Diane (Diane Keaton) is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage. Vivian (Jane Fonda) enjoys her men with no strings attached. Sharon (Candice Bergen) is still working through a decades-old divorce. Carol’s (Mary Steenburgen) marriage is in a slump after 35 years.

From discovering new romance to rekindling old flames, they inspire each other to make their next chapter the best chapter.

Once again you can approach this film several ways. You love watching these experienced actress doing what they do best, act. Or you love the Fifty Shades of Grey books and love how the books drive older ladies crazy as much as the younger ladies. The other option is, film is for all and new films aren’t just for the younger generation.

Book Club reminds of the films many of these actress used to appear infrequently in the 1980’s and 1990s. From Steel Magnolias to Fried Green Tomatoes, films you rarely see these days, a nice option to those big CGI blockbusters.

Book Club will be released in the UK and Ireland from 1st June. The film also stars Craig T. Nelson with Andy Garcia and Don Johnson.
