The Glorious Have Their Place In New The Greatest Showman Trailer

When it comes to New Year’s Day we do love to see a new year in great style. Twentieth Century Fox will be hoping you will see in style deliver that perfect cure to the Christmas Hangover with The Greatest Showman.

Today we get a brand new UK Trailer which shows this movie will be one big musical extravaganza about the man who created the greatest circus show ever, P.T Barnum. The adamantium claws of Wolverine may now be retired, Hugh Jackman once again unleashes his vocal talents as Barnum.

Turn up the volume and watch the new trailer that feels more at home with Les Miserables even Mama Mia!. Is Fox pushing for Oscar consideration? Maybe the previous posters which proudly show off the movie’s connection with La La Land they might just be. Below there is another new poster which combines the character from the previous posters.

As you’ll see from above trailer, the music is very contemporary, reminds me a little of how Baz Luhrmann‘s Moulin Rouge combined period drama. This will attract those who love old-fashioned musical but also a younger generation with the modern songs. This trailer also plays on the ‘family’ and Barnum was one time penniless. We do get a glimpse of the challenges the circus faced with many resenting the circus. They faced violence but also been labelled ‘Family Of Freaks’, like any great thing show off your talents. As Barnum states “And I know that there’s a place for us, for we are glorious…”

“The Greatest Showman” is a bold and original musical that celebrates the birth of show business and the sense of wonder we feel when dreams come to life. Inspired by the ambition and imagination of P.T. Barnum, “The Greatest Showman” tells the story of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a mesmerizing spectacle that became a worldwide sensation. “The Greatest Showman” is directed by exciting new filmmaker, Michael Gracey, with songs by Academy Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“La La Land”) and starring Academy Award nominee Hugh Jackman. Jackman is joined by Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams, Zendaya, Zac Efron and Rebecca Ferguson.

The Greatest Showman now has a brand new UK and Irish cinema release date which is now 26th December. The movie also stars Zac Efron, Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Williams, and Zendaya.
