We need to talk to more subjects…
And we will as Netflix announced Mindhunter Season 2 will be made. The well reviewed series is Certified Fresh with a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and was lauded by critics for its reinvention of the crime procedural when it premiered in October. It’s no surprise the streaming giants announced this news this morning on their official Mindhunter Twitter account.
The show features Jonathan Groff (Looking), Holt McCallany (Sully), Anna Torv (Fringe), Hannah Gross (Unless) and newcomer Cameron Britton, who portrays serial killer Ed Kemper on the series, and has drawn raves for his performance.
“How do we get ahead of crazy if we don’t know how crazy thinks?”
In MINDHUNTER, FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) study the damaged psyches of serial killers in an attempt to understand and catch them, and in the process pioneer the development of modern serial killer profiling.
David Fincher directs and executively produces the show and with 2018 been a busy year for him, with World War Z 2 set to be made, it may be hard to know exactly when season 2 will air. If going by his schedule more likely to be late 2018 possibly October/November time.
Season One you could say just scratched the surface of Holden Ford’s profiling. We’re expecting things to get a little deeper into the lives of those infamous killers.David Fincher himself stated in an interview with Billboard, that the show will take place two years after Season One with the real-life events of 79-81.
