Disney Pixar’s Coco UK Trailer Teases A Fantastic Coming Of Age Adventure

It’s been a long time since Pixar has delivered a movie that’s delivered the critically acclaimed and box office results. In January that will all change, when Coco will arrive in UK and cinemas, today we get another look at the new UK Trailer. A trailer that promises a fantastic Coming Of Age adventure in the Land of the dead. Get your vocal chords warmed up and watch the trailer below…

Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colourful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Héctor (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.

Politically Stateside their relationship with their southern neighbours hasn’t been the best since a certain Donald Trump entered the Oval Office. Coco may just help mend the fragile relationship a little after the release of the animated adventure. 20 days after the movie’s release in Mexico, becoming the highest-grossing film of all time in the country. Gaining just under £30 million (827m Pesos/ $43 million) at the country’s box office all largely thanks to the studio doing their research. Like any project, do the right research you will be rewarded at the box office.

“The story of ‘Coco’ is inspired by Mexico’s people, cultures and traditions,” says director Lee Unkrich. “The people of Mexico made us think about our own families, our own histories and how that makes us who we are today. We are grateful for the opportunities afforded to us, and we can honestly say we are different people as a result of our experiences.”

Coco will be released in the UK and Ireland on 19th January 2018 with a preview on the 13th & 14th January.
