Watch Netflix’s Dark Trailer But Is It The ‘German Stranger Things’?

Later this month the long-awaited Stranger Things will return to Netflix which fans will be raring to see. Today Netflix has launched the trailer for what some are already calling the ‘German Stranger Things, Dark.

In first impressions of the new trailer, it does share similar traits and tone, however, one thing you do notice this one is for the adults. A series that looks to mix the supernatural elements with something more closer to home with The Girl With Dragon Tattoo. This show is living up to its name and is a lot darker and looks to put a nice twist on the ‘whodunnit’ premise. Adding time travel to the story and the trailer does tease the question “The question isn’t who but when?”.

This Supernatural crime noir series premiered at this years Toronto Film Festival and looking a perfect filler series when Stranger Things when it launches in December. Check out the trailer…

Dark, a family saga with a supernatural twist, is set in a German town in present day where the disappearance of two young children exposes the double lives and fractured relationships among four families. In ten, hour-long episodes, the story takes on a supernatural twist that ties back to the same town in 1986.

The first of many secrets behind Dark is revealed: The first Netflix original series entirely authored, produced and shot in Germany. Set over 10 parts and will launch globally on Netflix Friday, 1st December.

The series stars Louis Hofmann, Oliver Masucci, Jördis Triebel, Maja Schöne, Sebastian Rudolph, Anatole Taubman, Mark Waschke, Karoline Eichhorn, Stephan Kampwirth, Anne Ratte-Polle, Andreas Pietschmann, Lisa Vicari, Angela Winkler, and Michael Mendl.
