Things go bump in the night, others will devour your soul, some will slice, dice eat your heart with a nice glass of Chianti. October has now arrived which can mean only one thing 31 Days of Horror has now arrived again. For the next 31 days, we will dive deep into the catacombs of horror to pick you a movie. Every day will be different ranging from the classics to the weird and wonderful. Many you might have heard of, some will be new to you. There will be personal favourites that you may like, others you may hate but they all will unleash those emotions that make us love horror.
Day 19 Ross Wilcock shares his love for that iconic John Carpenter franchise that gave the season it’s dark heart, Halloween. We’ve already cover Halloween, now it’s Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers. This was also the first feature role for a future scream queen.
Ten years after the original massacre Micheal Myers returns to Haddonfield to pray on the innocent residents of the town, the main target is his seven year old niece and he will stop at nothing till he gets her.
I loved Halloween 4 growing up and decided to watch it this week to see if it still holds up the way I remembered.
Thankfully I had such a blast with this film! And it, although so cheesy was so much fun! It is lovely seeing Danielle Harris in her first feature Film role. She, in fact, was such a superstar in this film and to be honest I do think it was ken of her best performances of her career.
Halloween 4 has fans divided, some love of some hate it. I personally love it and think it’s very fun and entertaining for the fourth instalment of a film series.
After number 4 the films went to hell until h20 then died again with number 8, then we had the questionable Rob Zombie Remakes which let’s be honest we’re not good and we’re not needed.
I strongly believe that everyone should have Halloween 4 on their Halloween to watch list as I feel it is a truly fun and cheesy slasher and is perfect for the cold October nights
Halloween4: Return of Micheal Myers is a 4-star Film from me
