Samoa Joe VS Brock Lesnar: Dream Match?

At WWE Great Balls of Fire, Brock Lesnar shall face Samoa Joe. The two shall face off for the WWE Universal Championship. While this match is in-fact a ‘first time ever’, one has to wonder; Is it a dream match?

Is Samoa Joe A Legitimate Challenger For Brock Lesnar?

Samoa Joe is tough, that in itself might be an understatement. A veteran of nearly 20 years, Joe has been at the forefront of the industry for sometime. In 2015, the Samoan submission machine finally arrived in WWE.

After a year in NXT, where he would also become the first two-time NXT Champion, Joe arrived at the main roster in January this year.

Facing Brock Lesnar shall not be a ‘Squash match’ however, I believe that Samoa Joe is a legitimate challenger for Brock Lesnar. Both superstars possess backgrounds in the Mixed Martial Arts, therefore with this in mind, Samoa Joe is someone who can match Lesnar.

Can Samoa Joe Win The WWE Universal Champion?

While I believe Samoa Joe should win the WWE Universal Champion, it just does not like too likely. Yes, Joe has all the credentials to be a leading champion in the company, however, Brock Lesnar will more likely lose the title to Finn Balor.

On the other hand, maybe this is an establishment of Samoa Joe’s main-event status in WWE. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind, Joe can absolutely be a main-event star for the company. Regardless of him being a face or heel, the WWE universe cheer Samoa Joe.

WWE MUST Plan Long-Term For Samoa Joe!

Now aged 38, Samoa Joe is still capable of ripping heads off. Now having Joe as WWE Universal Champion would be awesome, but who is to say he cannot be WWE Intercontinental Champion?

In my opinion it is vital WWE plan in the long-term for Joe, simply because they cannot keep him off TV! It would criminal for WWE to not have him in their plans. Upon losing at WWE Great Ball of Fire, hopefully the company have him in their plans.

Despite Joe potentially not being the leading star just yet, WWE must have him floating around the top-mid card, he is a valuable commodity to the company, though they may not know it.
