The dust has settled and another year in the WWE calendar has ended. Wrestlemania 33 took place last night, so today I am looking back at 5 key moments that happened last night, at Wrestlemania 33.

1. The Undertaker Closes The Show

Following only his second ever loss at Wrestlemania, The Undertaker closed out the show. However one could argue that it was not in typical ‘Taker fashion. As the Deadman closed Wrestlemania he left his gear and entrance attire in the middle of the ring. In addition to this he seemingly broke character and hugged wife Michelle McCool at ringside. While we have been showered with reports of ‘Taker’s confirmed retirement, we can only wait for Monday Night RAW. But if it last night truly was Mark Callaway’s final match, Thank you ‘Taker.

2. Roman Reigns Beats The Undertaker

Roman Reigns beat The Undertaker in a No Holds Barred Match. Reigns handed ‘Taker only his second loss at Wrestlemania, a monumental win in the career of Roman Reigns. While the match was not an instant classic, huge credits for both superstars for putting on a solid bout.  More importantly however Roman Reigns defeated The Undertaker, which truly signifies WWE plans to push Reigns to the heavens in the next 12 months.

3. The Hardy Boyz Return & Win The WWE RAW Tag Team Championships

After a seven year absence, The Hardy Boyz returned to WWE last night. Matt & Jeff Hardy were inserted into the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Ladder Match at the last moment. Then the broken duo went onto to capture the Tag Team titles, a shocking turn of events at the grandest stage of the them all. In recent weeks it had been reported that the Hardy Boyz had been offered WWE contract, thus last night signaled their return home to WWE. Their return shall most certainly shake-up WWE’s tag team landscape, Welcome home Matt & Jeff!

4. Naomi Wins The WWE Smackdown LIVE! Women’s Championship

Upon winning her first WWE Smackdown LIVE! Women’s Champion, Naomi was forced to relinquish the title due to inactivity for 30 days. However she made her return last week and was added to the Gauntlet Match for WWE Smackdown LIVE! Women’s Championship. In front of her hometown of Orlando, Florida her dream came true, as Naomi won her second Smackdown LIVE! Women’s Champion. The entire WWE Universe felt the glow as she finally got her moment, in front of the biggest crowd of the year. Congratulations Naomi, you deserve it!

5. Brock Lesnar Beats Goldberg & Wins The WWE Universal Championship

Brock Lesnar conquered his arch nemesis as he finally beat Goldberg. In the process of finally conquering Goldberg he also won his first WWE Universal Championship, in what could be described as a dominating display. While this may not be a stand-out moment, one shall have to consider the long-term implications for the title and Lesnar. One question that springs to mind; Who shall Lesnar face next? None the less Brock Lesnar is the WWE Universal Champion, The Beast has been unleashed.
