In exactly one week’s time ‘The Family’ return to the UK and Irish cinemas with Fast & Furious 8, as expected to be totally over the top bonkers. From the trailer and clips, we’ve already seen we know Dom (Vin Diesel) betray’s ‘the Family’ to take the side of the new movies villain Cipher. Charlize Theron plays Cipher who just happens to be the franchise’s first ever female villain. We don’t know much about her, why she’s targetted Dom’s family and ‘coerced him to her side and this new Featurette tries to tease us about her character. A character she found fun to do and also a challenge as she’s responsible for splitting ‘The Family’ after 16 years!
In other news, it seems Fast & Furious 8 has been edited for it’s UK release. According to Digital Spy due to the level of ‘violence’ was too high to get the 12A rating and to get the intended rating they were advised to cut down one particular scene. Thanks to the magic of movie editors that change which seems to be a ‘small one’ we’ll probably not notice any change.
Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.
From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world’s stage…and to bring home the man who made them a family.
