Whilst Movies and now Television is becoming overran by Marvel and DC spandex superheroes, which many we do love some we don’t. There’s no hiding that these comic book movies are going to be around for a long time so it’s refreshing to see a different type of comic book character and The Tick is perfect.

This series won’t be the first time our amnesiac superhero has been our Televisions when it received a 9 part series away back in 2001. After a pilot episode back in 2015, the series is returning with a more darker tone but now things will be from the perspective of his sidekick Arthur. Could this mean our bumbling hero might only a figurement of Arthur’s imagination?

In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an accountant with zero powers comes to realise his city is owned by a super villain. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero.

The series is created by executive producer and original illustrator of The Tick Ben Edlund. The cast includes Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace) Griffin Newman (Search Party), and Valorie Curry (Blair Witch, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2).
