After making his long-awaited Marvel Cinema Universe last summer, Spiderman very own movie marketing train is ready to go full speed. Ahead of the upcoming Spiderman: Homecoming second (UK) Trailer this week (possibly tomorrow), Sony Pictures have released 3 new posters. All the posters tease our favourite friendly neighbourhood web-slinger, ‘chilling’, ‘relaxing’ and a watchful eye in and around New York City. All the posters all have iconic landmarks from the city with one particular poster with a tower block which has a particular Marvel Superteam logo on it.
Whilst we enjoyed Captain America: Civil War some of us weren’t the movies biggest fans, one thing we all agreed on was how Peter Parker was introduced to MCU. Teasing us with Spidey’s origin story which sees the boy behind the mask Peter played by Tom Holland, an actor virtually the same age as his character.
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
We’ll bring you that spanking new second trailer when it arrives, in the meantime, you can re-watch the first trailer here.
Spiderman: Homecoming is set for a 7th July UK, Irish and the USA release date co-starring Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.
