He’s saved the leader of the free world saving him twice whilst destroying everything else. In Geostorm first trailer can Gerard Butler save the world from the mother of all storms?
Been from the same hometown as our lead actor, nothing will fear Butler. When you have veteran producer Dean Devlin who knows about the destruction of our little planet as he’s the producer for the master of disaster Rolland Emmerich‘s Independence Day movies.
Call it what you like ‘Disaster porn’, when it comes to technology they always say, never blame technology when things go wrong. What if that technology that’s made to to protect us suddenly attack us who will you blame?
After an unprecedented series of natural disasters threatened the planet, the world’s leaders came together to create an intricate network of satellites to control the global climate and keep everyone safe. But now, something has gone wrong—the system built to protect the Earth is attacking it, and it’s a race against the clock to uncover the real threat before a worldwide geostorm wipes out everything…and everyone along with it.
This just looks a ridiculously silly movie that many will find fun when you’ve worked for Emmerich for many years, the special effects will always look solid. But the gossip does say the movie went through very expensive re-shoots losing some narrative, even characters but made room for new ones.
If you are looking for some dialogue, you will be disappointed as this concentrates on all the devastation which essentially will be the star of this movie. We do get glimpses of our main characters including the big man Gerard Butler. This is one of those movies, you’ll buy those expensive cinema munchies, sit down and let your brain relax as you munch away. We can clearly say Donald Trump won’t be watching this one, fake? Now that’s up to you, we’ll belt up and enjoy the ride!
Geostorm is set for 20th October release date and will star Jim Sturgess, Ed Harris, Andy Garcia and Abbie Cornish.
