Unlocked stars Noomi Rapace as a CIA Operative Alice who is on a mission to take out the terrorists who are attempting to let loose a biological attack on London.Alice was one of The CIA’s leading integrators and haunted with past misdemeanours caused death in Paris. Now back on the trail to prevent London been to attack the integrator unwittingly reveals information to the terrorists. Alice is now in a race against time, she must now team up with war veteran turned Mi5 agent Jack Alcott (Orlando Bloom) to save the day. But who can she trust?

On paper, this looks like a bog standard run of the mill spy thriller though this a movie directed by Michael Apted who is no stranger to the genre. He has directed the James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough (not forgetting Ray Donavan, Masters Of Sex, Coronation Street). From computer hacking to tackling Xenomorphs could Rapace be adding a female Jason Bourne style action star to her list of characters? The modern-day action thrillers are now geopolitical and the days of villains coming from the old guard are long gone.

For a movie that will be regarded as a ‘B-movie’ Unlocked has a pretty decent cast that includes Michael Douglas, Toni Collette and John Malkovich. Which of these mugs can she trust? looking at the trailer Orlando Bloom might be the only one or is he?

Unlocked will arrive in UK&Irish cinemas from 5th May.
