The last time I was subscribed to Netflix, the ‘Netflix Originals’ Dramas and movies were merely at the ‘chatting stage’. Move on several years, it’s hard to think the streaming giants without news of a new series or movie been released like Stranger Things. Like many things, I’m always the last to jump on board the positive buzz that follows the show after release. Wow! It didn’t disappoint and if you’re like myself born in 1970’s now in 40’s making this TV Show one big nostalgic ride back to her childhood.
Every tv show, movie, reference, throwbacks that make you smile and makes you glad you were a kid in this decade. Over Christmas, I finally caught up with Season One and the finale of the season left us on a big cliffhanger and today we get a tease from the Superbowl. Netflix have sent us the big game TV Spot that reveals several things, Stranger Things Season Two will be with us on Halloween. The series has now moved onto the mid 1980’s with the main characters in Ghostbusters (original was released in 1984) with glimpses of new dangers, and that Will Byers’ (Noah Schnapp) experience of the Upside Down world has changed him.
Check out the new TV Spot…
In Stranger Things 2,we find ourselves a year after Will’s return, everything seems back to normal… but a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins.
Can Will now summon monsters? The spot does suggest he might be able to and how he can do it does look a little unsettling. The TV Spot does feature footage from a classic Eggo commercial that debuted in 1979 and aired in the 80s. This is a reference to Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) favourite snack, but where has our mysterious female heroine wandered off too?
Stranger Things Season 2 is set for Halloween global release.
