When Lost In Translation came out 13 years ago, I connected with the movie on many levels.Loneliness, boredom, opening your heart to love to a uber cool soundtrack. This movie looks a change of direction for Coppola and on paper, this looks a period drama romance, however, something does say this is a lot darker. A highly sexually-repressed environment as morals go out the window.
Does the movie title sound familiar? In 1971 Clint Eastwood starred in a version of the movie that was directed by Don Siegel, a movie regarded as the veteran actor’s rarely seen gem performances.
The Beguiled is set for 23rd June UK & Irish cinema release. The movie stars Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning, Emma Howard, Oona Laurence.
