24 hours before the road to Wrestlemania begins, NXT Takes over Texas once again. The Freeman Coliseum hosts 2017’s first NXT TakeOver exclusively on the WWE Network. Here is a preview for NXT TakeOver: San Antonio.

Shinsuke Nakamura VS Bobby Roode: NXT Championship

First of all, lets prosper both superstars entrances. The themes, crowd and atmosphere, it will be something to behold. While there has not been too much build in this feud, the match has all the elements to be fantastic. Two of the leading stars in NXT facing off for the NXT Championship. This bout is a win-win scenario for the WWE Universe, as both superstars presence would be relished on the main roster. At this point it seems as if the ascendancy is with Shinsuke Nakamura. Despite the challenge of Bobby Roode looming in Texas, I would not put it past Nakamura to retain his NXT Championship. All we know is that the entrances shall be……. GLORIOUS!
Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura to retain NXT Championship

#DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Cimapa) VS The Authors Of Pain: NXT Tag Team Champions

If ever one has to choose a model wrestling stable, it should be #DIY. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa blew the roof of NXT Takeover Brooklyn & Toronto. Finally capturing the NXT Tag Team Champions in Toronto after defeating The Revival, #DIY look a promising tag team for the future. On the other hand The Authors Of Pain remain at the gates. Despite winning The Dusty Rhodes Classic Tag Tournament, the stable has not clicked with the WWE Universe. But if there was ever a time to come out of their shell, NXT TakeOver: San Antonio is the place. However I firmly believe #DIY will retain their titles and continue to light-up the tag team division in NXT.
Prediction: #DIY to retain NXT Tag Team Championships

Asuka VS Nikki Cross VS Billie Kay VS Peyton Royce: NXT Women’s Championship

NXT is the land of opportunity. While Asuka has dominated the Women’s Division for almost a year, rising talent has been forthcoming. Native Australians Billie Kay & Peyton Royce have proven their worth in recent months. In addition to Nikki Cross making her presence felt very quickly, the NXT Women’s Division is a melting pot of talent. However it takes more than just becoming a household name to topple Asuka. This Fatal-Four Way shall certainly be interesting, but I am standing by The Empress to retain her NXT Women’s Championship.

Prediction: Asuka to retain NXT Women’s Championship

Eric Young VS Tye Dillinger

Since arriving in WWE, we have not seen too much of Eric Young. His current feud with Tye Dillinger is the most we have seen of him. None the less he is a valuable commodity to NXT, his veteran experience shall pay dividends in the long-term. Whereas Tye Dillinger seemingly does not have too long left in NXT, he is a heavily wanted man at the Royal Rumble. To be more specific, the Number 10 spot, the combination is a match made in heaven. I am currently of the belief that Dillinger will wrestle his final TakeOver in San Antonio, thus I am rooting for a Tye Dilliner victory.

Prediction: Tye Dillinger to defeat Eric Young

Roderick Strong VS Andrade Almas

Once the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode have served NXT, one has to believe Roderick Strong shall lead the brand. The well-versed veteran in the industry arrived in NXT last year. Prior to joining WWE, Strong was a prominent feature for ROH, he is certainly a strong addition to the brand. Heel Andrade Almas has improved his character, the aggression to graduate has been fresh to watch. While Almas will not likely win, a decent bout against Strong could set him on course for the future.

Prediction: Roderick Strong to defeat Andrade Almas
