The Awards season has now been going strong the last couple months and now we’re at the end of January it’s now time to enter the ‘business end’ of the Award. In 2 weeks The BAFTA’s will be with us but 2 weeks later The Oscars the echelon of the movie year.
Last week’s 2017 Oscar nominations delivered a mixed bag of emotions and reactions. The Majority of the nominees we expected (i:e La La Land)to get the nods got them, though the amount they got were basically farcical. Same can be said about those lucky sons of guns who in theory shouldn’t be read in the same sentence of some got them (Suicide Squad). Controversy always follows certain nominated movies (Hacksaw Ridge) but it’s not always the movie sometimes it the actor or the person behind the lens that attracts that negative side of things.
We may not always agree with the final outcome, we do respect the final view, so now you’ve unleashed your frustration let’s actually celebrate the year. Jacob T.Swinney has created a 5 minute video if your heads all over the place to help you get back in focus. There is a few that aren’t just yet out here in The UK&Ireland (they will be by this time next month), but you have no excuse. get ready!
