He runs and runs , runs a little bit more but Does Tom Cruise anything different? In the first UK trailer for the new The Mummy reboot, Mr Cruise has proven he can tackle action now he screams! It may not be Aladdin but Universal Pictures are promising ‘A Whole New World Out there‘, scary , nostalgic  and legendary. Check out the first trailer…

The classic monsters are all coming back to the big screens once again like it or not. Some of them had their cake and eat it, it tasted bitter, but no need for Mary Berry here they will be sharing the same universe. Looking at this new trailer and reading the gossip around the Universal Classic monsters we may just have their own MCU!

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilisation: The Mummy.Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman:The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

As in regards of this trailer it does one purpose, tease us. Pulsating, action-packed and totally bonkers like Mission Impossible with monsters. It’s a bold move when it comes to the movie’s narrative blending not just the horror elements but the action adventure genre too. What that totally bonkers twist is what the trailer and see if you guess what it is?

It’s also a nice  twist on the villain with Sofia Boutella , an ancient princess who is back to claim what’s rightly hers and Russell Crowe‘s character seems to know a lot about her. He has a lot of mystery to his character but there’s one thing we can confirm is his name, Dr.Jekyll.

The Mummy is set for a 9th June 2017 in UK&Ireland co-starring Annabelle Wallis,Russell Crowe, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance.
