Depending what time you have your dinner at after you have it you’ll feel like something wants to explode out you, just hope it’s not an Alien. Merry Christmas all as 20th Century Fox Pictures deliver an unexpected present, the first UK trailer for Alien: Covenant.
It maybe the sixth movie in the franchise but set after the events Prometheus. We meet the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world.
They always say if you get a pet at Christmas, it’ for life, as you’ll see in this trailer we see the return of very familiar faces from the franchise. They maybe Neomorphs (not xenomorphs just yet)but they come with Facehuggers! Get one of them today, it will be for life, your life!!!
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with Alien: Covenant, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
What we love about this trailer, it doesn’t fall into the typical Hollywood movie trope than spoiling everything by revealing all the plot in one trailer. What we do get a sense of here is the trailer channelling a lot of the original Alien movie, which is a positive sign. We were promised a lot of tension and fear, overall scarier movie.
This dies suggest we’ll get that, but is it a potential reboot again? Not sure here but if Scott takes those elements that worked in Prometheus adapt into this we may just get an exciting terrifying experience on our hands this Summer.
Michael Fassbender will once again reprise his role as David on his quest into the ‘uncharted paradise’. There’s no word if/ how Noomi Rapace will fit into this one, she on the cast list according to IMDB. It looks like Katherine Waterston will lead the line up alongside Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Billy Crudup, Amy Seimetz. James Franco is meant to be in the cast too, is that him on the above image about to become a chest buster?
Alien: Covenant is coming to theUK and Irish cinemas from 19th May 2017.
