In Fast &Furious 8 First Trailer, Dom Betrays The Family

Charlize Theron‘s character maybe the highest definition of high-tech terrorism but in the first UK trailer for Fast & Furious 8, Dominic Toretto is the highest definition of traitor. Premiering in the wee small hours of this morning (or Jimmy Kimmel show in U.S.A Sunday night) Friday’s  15-second teaser synopsis hinted a betrayal. No one expected it to be Dom (Vin Diesel) who goes rogue on his family, but Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is ready to play. Check out the first  action packed trailer…

Once they were foes then became friends but now Hobbs must lead the family against Dominic  as everything that Dom built falls apart. But why has he went back to a life of crime on the side of a mysterious terrorist called Cipher? As you’ll see, the family have unexpected help, from Decker (Jason Statham). Oh there going to need a bigger truck too!!!

In Fast &Furious 8 ,Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.

From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world’s stage…and to bring home the man who made them a family.

When the  short teaser for this trailer  came out on Friday, it caused a bit of an uproar, not for the movie itself, but the movie title. As you’ll see from the above trailer, here in the UK&Ireland it’s Fast&Furious 8 but for American fans it’s The Fate of The Furious. It saw  some people starting petitions to demand Universal to change  it, however watching the new trailer you can understand why it’s called The Fate of The Furious.

Very few franchises get a chance to even make it to 8th movie, usually those who do the majority of those sequels are direct to DVD entries. Fast & Furious franchise has lasted 15 years  despite the blimp has re-invented itself every movie keeping it fresh, captivating most of all totally bonkers. The latest movie looks no different, as it seems to tick all the boxes of our expectations list. The movie will have a sombre mood to it, been the first complete movie without the late Paul Walker in the cast, you wonder if this story would have been different if he was still around?

Fast&Furious 8 is set for 14th April 2017  UK, Irish and USA release date with Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky,Kurt Russell, Scott Eastwood and Helen Mirren.
