Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk New Poster Teases Epic War Thriller

Christopher Nolan’s movies are never small occasions, always something epic and next summer we will have Dunkirk. As we eagerly wait for the first full UK trailer Warner Bros. have sent us the movie’s first official poster, check it out below…

The past few years poster design for many movies haven’t been the best-designed marketing, many following a similar design. The above poster is simple in design but what it does do is put the focus on the imagery which is important here. We see a stark image of an allied soldier standing on the beach with chaos happening over the stormy waters of The English Channel. A nightmare for that young soldiers

Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.

We know a Christopher Nolan movie are always something special, the scale of movies doesn’t scare him either. He loves to embrace new technology likes of IMAX with 65mm, not forgetting 35mm and 70mm versions to come too. It’s expected the first full trailer will land online this week  and if you’re watching Rogue One: A Star Wars Story you will enjoy a seven-minute preview.

Dunkirk features a prestigious cast, including Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh and Cillian Murphy, as well as newcomer Fionn Whitehead. The ensemble cast also includes Harry Styles (One Direction) making his feature film debut.Yes, the very same one sporting a haircut!

Dunkirk is set for a 21st July 2017 UK&Irish cinematic release date.
