There’s the first time for everything and are Assassin’s Creed game fans ready to enter ‘The Animus’ on the big screen? With exactly 4 weeks to go until one of the biggest gaming franchises big screen debut , the first clip sees our hero Callum Lynch enter , The Animus. Forced onto the machine but thanks to this we meet his ancestor Aguilar, check out the clip…
As for the iconic machine (Animus) that transports the Assassins back in time apparently is similar to the gaming version only how it functions differs. As history has shown, video gaming movies don’t have a great track record, even passable adaptations are rare too. 20th Century Fox Pictures look like they’ve gone to town, grabbing a solid cast as well as Justin Kurzel who’s quickly becoming one of the best filmmakers in the industry.
It looks like they have played it safe not trying to go for a like for like adaptation, but one that takes the key points from the game and creating their own unique world. It still pays homage to the game but only time will tell if the move will work. It’s been the most difficult area to adapt but we have our hopes they will deliver.
Assassin’s Creed we meet Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) and estrange violent man on death row, who through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, he descended from 15th Century Assassins. Thanks to a device called Animus he experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguila who also a member of a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organisation in the present day.A fight for humanity begins.
