Matt Damon could easily be the saviour of all humanity when he takes on the mighty ferocious creatures been kept at bay in The Great Wall. Today things are put in motion as Universal Pictures, introduce the epic fantasy movies leading characters including Jason Bourne himself in New Motion Posters. Check them out….

The movie’s director Zhang Yimou directed the likes of The House Of The Flying Daggers. This may not be an outright Chinese production, it still has those epic narrations, a rich mythology that makes this movie an exciting prospect. Yimou is one of the industry’s best directors and his imagination (with the help from Max Brooks source) will give us an ‘alternative’ origin to one of the greatest architectural landmarks on our little planet’s history.

The Great Wall is based on a book created by Max Brooks (World War Z) and tells the story of 2 foreign men (Matt Damon, Pedro Pascal) travelling through ancient China. The pair finding themselves wrapped up in the country’s battle and the true reason for the wall been built. They are forced to join an elite force making a valiant stand for humanity on the world’s most iconic structure.

The movie certainly getting the hype and China’s biggest ever movie with one of Hollywood’s leading men, it’s hard to say if it will deliver the goods. Will it get plagued by ‘whitening’ Controversy that’s slowly becoming pandemic levels in Hollywood? Curious to know what the reaction is in China? This movie does have some of it’s biggest names who are have starred in Hollywood too. Will it be the ‘Manchester United effect‘ where the brand becomes more important and overtakes popularity with an international brand becomes more relevant than your local equivalents?
