Netflix’s Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events Trailer Warns Of What’s To Come

Lemony Snicket

A long long time ago when Netflix announced they were venturing into ‘Originals’ Dramas and Movies, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events was one of the first shows to be lined up. So much has happened and now Lemony Snicket now has a release date and a teaser trailer which warns us of what’s to come!

The years since they started creating their own ‘originals’, Netflix has seen great success, not just in the quality, critically and viewers. It’s a move that’s made the traditional TV and Film Studios pay attention to the Streaming giants that they are serious on every level. Lemony Snicket is the latest movie come streaming drama that Netflix can breathe life back into cult movies , TV Shows (Arrested Development)that there’s life after.

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death.

The trailer opens with Patrick Warburton (Family Guy’s Joe Swanson)narrates in the way Alfred Hitchcock used to do in his TV Show. Don’t expect to see Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf but a nice sneaky look at the show’s sets but was that Olaf joyous in the background?

The 2004 film with Jude Law as Snickett and Jim Carrey as Olaf was a cult hit, but it failed to kick off the franchise that would have covered 13 books. It is hoped this steaming version might deliver with 8 one-hour episodes, so when will we see the show? 13th January 2017 on Netflix UK&Ireland as well as internationally too!

Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events Season One will also star , Joan Cusack, Malina Weissman,Louis Hynes, Aasif Mandvi and K. Todd Freeman.
