In The Neighbour,in the Sleepy town of cutter most people keeps themselves to themselves. But when John (Josh Stewart) comes home to find that his Girlfriend Rosie(Alex Essoe) is nowhere to be seen, suspicions rise and he quickly looks to his Neighbour. Sneaking into his Neighbours house the night Rosie goes missing, what he finds in the cellar would give the strongest of us nightmares.

When I got the chance to see this film, I wasn’t too sure what to expect, and I am now so extremely glad I watched it because it has to be one fo the best horror films of the year so far!

Everything about the film was great I really got vibes of The Guest and real grindhouse feels from the film. I am so happy that I got to see this film and this will be one that I buy on Blu-Ray for sure as I think it’s a film I need to share with my friends and it will be on my Halloween to watch list forever now.

I am never usually one to like a film this much so soon it usually takes a couple of watches for me to really love a film. However, this one had a spark to it and it didn’t hold back. I think it was because it played to the weakness of us all that we would do anything for the ones we love.

Something I will say about this film was at first I was not a fan of the character of John (Stewart) he seemed like a bit of a douche bag, but as the film goes on and I saw how nice of a guy he is it really changed my mind. I liked that he had the guts to try and save everyone there not just save his girlfriend I thought that was something that really made the film stand out for me. I liked that the neighbour was so creepy as well. He was played by Bill Engvall who I am not a follower of, though I have seen his old sitcom he did in 2007 which also starred a young Jennifer Lawrence.

I just think The Neighbour  is a masterpiece and a true classic in the genre. It blended everything you would want in a horror film great score great plot a really intense tension filled film and pretty much an epic ride all the way.
