In 2017 Dreamworks Animation will have a little bundle of joy and they hope you’ll think The Boss Baby will be a Cutsie Widdle movie you’ll adore. Alec Baldwin in a suit is nothing these days but as an animated baby in a suit, who carries a briefcase most of all, he talks….A goo goo gaga gaa…your fired! Watch first UK Trailer.
It maybe National Boss Day in the USA but here in blighty this little brat demands you attention, but don’t babies want that anyway? He maybe is playing Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live but can Alec Baldwin handle all the focus as an animated infant? Get him a double espresso and Tuna Sushi he’ll handle anything!
Based on the award-winning picture book by Marla Frazee DreamWorks Animation and the director of Madagascar invite you to meet a most unusual baby. He wears a suit, speaks with the voice and wit of Alec Baldwin, and stars in the animated comedy, DreamWorks’ The Boss Baby. The Boss Baby is a hilariously universal story about how a new baby’s arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator, a wildly imaginative 7 years old named Tim. With a sly, heart-filled message about the importance of family, DreamWorks’ The Boss Baby is authentic and broadly appealing original comedy for all ages.
I’m sure many of you would love to see that SNL sketch ‘Office Boss’ though that may come one day but from the footage of this one we do see that Fox is trying to attract all ages. It’s the sort of 1980’s/ early 1990s movie likes of Arnie, even Danny DeVito would have done. The question is the main jokes in the premise could they sustain for the full movie? The premise looks basic but Baldwin is still a popular name which should get a few more bums on seats. When it comes to kids movies if the kids love it, it’s served its purpose!
The Boss Baby is set for an April 2017 UK&Irish release date (31st March USA) and will star the voices of Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow, Patton Oswalt, Miles Bakshi.
