It was the world’s largest man made disaster but amazingly it’s a story very few people world wide actually know about. In Peter Berg‘s upcoming disaster drama Deepwater Horizon he’ll be hoping it’s one we shall never forget especially those who lost their lives. Before it’s premiere in Toronto Film Festival and it’s UK&Irish cinematic release those kind folks at Lionsgate have released another new clip. In this clip called ‘Discovery‘ we meet Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner) for the first time, he discovers something catastrophic.
Here at The Peoples Movies and the same at other sites we do get sent many clips, promos for upcoming films which we do our best to post. But in an age of everything online sometimes we show a bit too much and what we like about these clips there short. Not spoilers enough to raise your curiosities to see more and to us that’s a good mark of film promotion.
Peter Berg is forming a nice partnership with Mark Whalberg developing a series of real-life tragedies (first been Lone Survivor), most of them very little known about. Like him or not they helping Berg become a more established filmmaker hopefully Deepwater Horizon will deliver the goods. So when we hear stories of the director going for the bigger blockbusters, people will no longer laugh and think of him as the director who brought us Battleship. Next up for Berg& Whalberg will be another real-life drama, Patriot’s Day based on the Boston marathon bombings of 2013, due for release in UK in January 2017.
On April 20th, 2010, the world’s largest man-made disaster occurred on the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico. Directed by Peter Berg, this story honours the brave men and women whose heroism would save many on board, and change everyone’s lives forever.
