Ladies (and some gentlemen), Mr Grey has arrived. You may now enter the red room slip into something a shade darker and get hot and steamy, watch Fifty Shades Darker first UK Trailer. After yesterday’s 15 second teaser (& poster), today we finally get that look at the first full teaser with things look like will get more exotic. Yes ladies you’ll even get a glimpse at Mr Grey’s Pecs, sit back and unleash your passion!
In Fifty Shades Of Darker a wounded Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele (Dakota Johnson) back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.
The sexual tension is rife, eroticism is flowing which will excite fans of the E.L James and though the trailer asks us to forget the past, the music is a big reminder of the first movie. The question is have Dornan and Johnson worked on their chemistry? It was one of the evident reasons Fifty Shades Of Grey didn’t work. I’m not going to say I’ve read the books (which I haven’t) but reading the reviews of those the pace and tone didn’t really work. Overall Sam Taylor-Johnson failed miserably to connect with the author’s vision, so no surprise we have a new director.
Fans of the books won’t matter what critics think , but they will be keen to learn how Christian and Ana’s relationship will progress. The first film they where going different directions but look to get back in line especially as we know a third film Fifty Shades Freed is coming too. Oh if you need some old school erotic film naughtiness can’t beat Kim Basinger, playing Christian Grey’s old sex mentor, ooh rrr Missus!
Fifty Shades Darker will see the return of Marcia Gay Harden, Jennifer Ehle, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Victor Rasuk, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini. With newbies, Hugh Dancy, Bella Heathcote and Eric Johnson.
Fifty Shades Darker will arrive in UK&Irish cinemas on 10th February 2017.
