Jane Got A Gun is the story of a woman’s struggle to save her family after her husband is shot. She seeks help from and old lover and together they try and survive, but the old flame still might be lit.
This was an interesting film for me. I haven’t relaly seen to many westerns, yet this one mainly for the cast was the appeal for me. Natalie Portman, Joel Egerton and Ewan Mcgregor all star in this film. With the cast in mind you would think it would be a pretty great film.
Well I can say it was, for the most part, I liked it and I didn’t. I feel this is mainly down to the fact I haven’teen to many westerns but at the same te if a film is good its good no matter what.
I think what this film done right was the cinematography and sound. The score was great and had a lot of edge to it whh saves the film a lot.
However my biggest complaint was that the film suffered from a lack of action. There were scenes tahtw ere pretty awesome and action packed, but there were also scenes of nothing.
I did like the film and I think it was casted well. I found out few interesting facts about the film that relaly stuck with me when watching it. Firstly the fact that the film went through development hell.
Starting off on the Hollywood Black List and then having numerous cast and crew chanes. Finally we got the film that we have now. Which for the most part is pretty decent.
I did enjoy it and I would recommend it but it just wasn’t forme. I thought the acting was fine thee are no real sta outs in it. Nor was there any acting that I would over the top or predictable. I just found the film to be decent. A good watch.
Over all I woul say check the film out its worth a watch. Did hope for better coming form whos involved but I still enjoyed it and it was a good way to spend an afternoon.
Good Flick
