Another day, another new clip as Fox amp up the intensity with the release of an new Independence Day: Resurgence clip. In a new clip entitled ‘Dogfight‘ our heroes (Jessie Usher and Liam Hemsworth) engage in an Ariel fight with our alien invaders. A scene that could easily be straight out of Star Wars!
We always knew they were coming back. After Independence Day redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter Independence Day: Resurgence delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.
Since the 1990’s until now Roland Emmerich earned his crown as the master of destruction, that prominent he could easily do a masterclass to wannabe masters. Whilst he directed and produced many staple tentpole movies in 1990s (Stargate, Universal Soldier) Independence Day is seen as the original ultimate destruction which many other wannabes model their films on. Whilst many people might scratch there head in why were excited to see Independence Day: Resurgence. We know it won’t win Oscars for best film or actors, what it will do is win 100% on pure escapism. Later this month give your brain a rest from intelligent movies, leave it at the box office pick your favourite cinema munchies. Enjoy seeing the world around you fall apart, famous landmarks be destroyed, be entertained!
Independence Day: Resurgence is set for UK&Irish cinemas from 23rd June (USA 24th June)with Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner and Judd Hirsch. With new faces joining Liam Hemsworth, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe,Charlotte Gainsbourg, Sela Ward.
