With USA rating to be PG-13, it’s linkely here in blighty Suicide Squad will get an 12A. Some fans may argue the film might not be as graphic as they want, but in film’s latest poster they certainly get ‘graphic’
Worst.Heroes.Ever is their moto but Task Force X aka Suicide Squad have a unique, intriguing marketing that’s very appealing not just to the comic book fandom but also the film’s targeted audience. I trained originally to be a graphic designer at University and one thing you learn is to understand what attracts each tarted audience and Suicide Squad promotion is targeting young adults. Yes this film is not just for that age group, if your a fan of the characters or titles, the actual name will attract older fans.
Suicide Squad has done a great job keeping us teased with every single trailer, promo. We know there villains, but ones with humour, like fun but what the actual film is about is still a tease. The poster is colourful, vibrant that tells me the fun and action will be explosive, colour scheme says the action will be chaotic too. There is the old fashioned Kapow, Bow comic book terms mean the film will be traditional but also contemporary. So is Suicide Squad the 21st Century Dirty Dozen?
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
