Science Becomes God In New Morgan Trailer

Morgan Kate Mara

When science attempts to be  ‘God’ the end result is always ends up a catastrophic nightmare with the ending not good for those who see themselves as Gods. This afternoon we get another UK trailer for Morgan that shows that what we give birth too will outwit us one day

The Scott legacy continues as Ridley Scott‘s son Luke makes his directorial debut (with father producing), in a genre of sci-fi horror they helped to mold. Father like son has Luke Scott moulded a genuine scary film his very own ‘Alien’, whatever you do don’t let it out!

Morgan tells the story of a corporate troubleshooter (Kate Mara) is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she is to investigate and evaluate a terrifying accident. She learns the event was triggered by a seemingly innocent “human,” who presents a mystery of both infinite promise and incalculable danger.

You could say this is the modern day Frankenstein story , the monster is now the machine or Artificial Intelligence. It’s that nightmarish scenario which we’ve seen in many movies (especially Terminator films) that machine will become more intelligent. There is similarities to ex_Machina though that film tried to discover the meaning of life, but could Morgan possibly be a weapon? Or human experimentation gone too far?

The trailer teases a little more on the ‘accident’ that leaves you too think all is not what it seems, is the culprit truly to blame? We do get a better look at the titular character played by The VVitch star Anya Taylor-Joy, we’re teased by her prose to stalk, attack possibly deceive like a true predator. Your moral convictions will be challenged, Luke Scott has the perfect set-up wisdom of his old-man hopefully deliver a promising film.

Morgan will be out in September in UK (USA 2nd September) The film stars Kate Mara, Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Paul Giamatti.
