New Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them Featurette On Newt Scamander

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

This Autumn we will step back into the Wizarding world of Harry Potter when JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them arrives in UK. While it may only tease some of those iconic characters we loved and adored for a very long time but it’s a part of that magical world. In the latest promo we have a new featurette that focuses on the upcoming film’s hero Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). Learning more about his traits, personality and the world he lives in, with Redmayne and creator JK Rowling  talking about the character too.

It may not be same time zone but it reveal the universe is a lot bigger, in North America and if anyone has any doubts, this promo has a very familiar score.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Is Newt “new hero for a new era of magic, this promo presents him as one if he is it’s a great burden on his shoulders. Rowling herself said “My heroes are always people who feel themselves to be set apart, stigmatized, or othered,” Which connects him closer to the the likes of Hermoine and Ron Weasley. The main focus will be to keep Pottermaniacs interested from start to finish, with Dumbledore teased in the second trailer, obviously they will want the connections to be prominent rather than nostalgic.

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will be out in UK&Ireland from 18th November starring Colin Farrell, Ron Perlman, Jon Voight, Katherine Waterston, Samantha Morton, Gemma Chan, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Carmen Ejogo and Alison Sudol.
