In The Neon Demon, when aspiring model Jesse (Elle Fanning) moves to Los Angeles, her youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will use any means necessary to get what she has.
You may say this is the best of the trailers so far Provocative, stylish opulent but most of all digs a little deeper into the film’s story, especially the characters. Jena Malone especially gets more screen time as the models make up artist, teasing the idea whilst she’s not a model, she is involved in this cabal. Still no clues to Keanu Reeves role but as this promo plays more to it’s potential horror tropes, is a leader? Jesse’s father? Or the person trying to expose everything? We do certainly get an vampire type thing going on playing into 1980s arthouse horrors such as The Hunger. Winding Refn is certainly bowing the altar of Dario Argento with this one with echoes of Black Swan, Mulholland Drive.

The Neon Demon has a of Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Bella Heathcote, ,Christina Hendricks and Keanu Reeves. We now know that the film has a confirmed UK release date which will be 8th July, so update those diaries!
