Michael Fassbender certainly knows how to deliver a ‘Killer performance’ as he’s done in so many films recently could he now becoming a ‘serial Killer’? No bones about it he is one of Hollywood’s most exciting actors in the industry at the moment and might be Entering Hades. Aaccording Variety Broad Green Pictures have bought the rights to book with Oscar-winning Birdman writer Alexander Dinelaris re-writing a script with the hope Fassbender will star (and produce) in the film.
Entering Hades is based on John Leake’s true crime novel about Jack Unterweger, a celebrated Austrian journalist and best-selling author who led a double life investigating murders by day and killing by night, amassing a body count of 11 people across multiple continents. Unterweger found himself behind bars in 1974 where he learned to become a journalist. After his release in 1990 despite reporting on murders as part of his ‘rehabilitation’ he was killing again.
Dinelaris was also involved in the writing of The Revenant from an original draft written Bill Wheeler, but the question is when would ‘Entering Hades‘ be released? Fassbender is a on-demand actor with X-Men:Apocalypse due out 18th May with Assassin’s Creed due out boxing day 26th December. He’s currently working on the Prometheus sequel Alien:Convenant with a small matter of another dark crime drama of The Snowman to be filmed too.
Rarely does Michael Fassbender star in bad films and even when they are critically poor he’s usually one if not the only standout of that film. It’s all early doors but another intriguing project to look forward too. With the actor’s production company to be involved in the film could he have a say in what director he would to direct Entering Hades? How about a third collaboration with MacBeth/Assassin’s Creed director Justin Kurzel? Now cinephiles might just kill for that!
